Pete Mastin

Pete Mastin is a part of the IBM Watson Media Product Marketing and Strategy at IBM. With him, Pete brings decades of experience in business development, product strategy, technology leadership, and software development. Mastin has extensive knowledge of content delivery networks (CDN), IP Video and streaming technologies, and has overseen the implementation of multiple highly scalable, multi-homed, global SaaS systems.

Prior to his currently role, Pete served as Director or Strategy and Partnerships at IBM Cloud Video. Before joining IBM, he was a VP at Cedexis, and spent four years as Vice President of Business Development and Project Management at Internap, where he was responsible for all strategic partnerships, strategic direction, and product definition. Pete also served as Chief Technology officer for both Multicast Media Technologies and Clear Compliance.

Pete has spoken at conferences such as NAB (National Association of Broadcasters), Streaming Media, the CDN/Cloud World Conference (Hong Kong), Velocity, Content Delivery Summit, Digital Hollywood, and Interop, among others.

He was a fellow at the Department of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Georgia, where he designed and co-developed software for teaching formal logic. His master’s degree is an implementation of Situation Semantics in the logic programming language Prolog, under Dr. Donald Nute.
