Krishna Cheriath is responsible for Information and Data Management for Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS), reporting to the CIO. He is also part of the leadership team of Business Insights and Analytics (BIA), the centralized analytics function in BMS.

Cheriath is responsible for the company’s enterprise data capabilities, leading the company’s digital transformation in data and analytics, accelerating cloud computing investments and advancing explorations in machine learning and AI.

Cheriath has over 20 years experience in IT and management consulting, working for such firms as TCS, PWC, IBM and Accenture.

Cheriath has been with BMS from 2006 to now with an intervening 2 year period from 2013 to 2015 where he went back to consulting. He held data strategy and capability leadership positions in Commercial Analytics and BIA from 2015 to 2017. Prior to 2015, he was part of the commercial IT leadership team and led the implementation of the extremely successful Veeva/Salesforce.com CRM project, which enabled 9,000 sales reps in 60 countries and 20+ languages.

In 2016, Cheriath was named Vice President, Head of BIA Data Capabilities Group and in 2017, he was named Vice President, Head of Information and Data Management in IT.

Cheriath received a degree in Technology, Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Kerala. He received his MBA from the Stern School of Business at the New York University.
