John Serrao

John Serrao is a technology consultant with 10 years of experience as an interface engineer, product owner and technology executive. He has deep expertise in delivering enhanced user experiences in web applications like the White House, Federal Trade Commission and American Battle Monument Commission. He has lead multiple technology teams in DC, built open-source solutions for the CodeforDC and Random Hacks of Kindness (RHoK) community initiatives and contributed to numerous open source products on Github.

John has also been heavily involved in the health and nutrition industries, acting as an advisor for the complementary health startup DaoCloud, building and writing for the web property Nutrition Wonderland, authoring the complementary medicine classic, ‘Nutrition for Your Fat Toxic Ass’ and doing organic field research with the Rodale Institute.

John attended the University of Texas in Austin, where he graduated with three degrees in Communications, Economics and Humanities. He currently resides in Washington, DC with his lovely lady.
