Ian Folau, CEO of GitLinks, graduated from West Point and served as a manager of security and intelligence teams in the U.S. Army for nine years. His missions in Afghanistan helped fine-tune his perceptions on risk and threat mitigation. Upon leaving the military and obtaining an MBA from Cornell Tech in NYC, Ian founded a security and compliance startup developing an enterprise software product that uncovered hidden risks that result from using open source code in software development.

Ian lives in Manhattan with his wife and four boys and continues to actively participate in veteran non-profits focused on entrepreneurship and technology.
