Bottom Line: The Canobeam DT-110 has excellent, easy network-side connectivity options and an Auto Tracking feature that makes long-term monitoring and setup a dream. Unfortunately, it lacks even a dedicated HTML page for management, although its bare-bones management capabilities were sufficient in our tests.

LightPointe FlightLite 100

LightPointe

Good, 7.4

Bottom Line: The FlightLite is a single-beam fixed-laser product in LightPointe's lower-end line. It can support multiple network-side inputs but only one set at a time. With a good, dedicated management package and solid mounting options, however, it's a good option for those seeking laser speed at a reasonable cost.

LightPointe FlightStrata

LightPointe

Good, 7.5

Bottom Line: LightPointe's FlightStrata series is a high-end, four-beam self-adjusting laser product capable of multiple throughput connections. FlightStrata supports advanced tracking and atmospheric auto-adjustments, making it less susceptible to weather or physical interference. The dual-path architecture is a boon.

Orthogon OS-Gemini

Orthogon Systems

Good, 7.2

Bottom Line: RF-based OS-Gemini is a solid choice for those with range considerations as far as 125 miles. Its robust dedicated-management package is capable of multiunit management and supports advanced signal-modulation technology for a cleaner, long-term signal. The configuration process was somewhat bumpy.

Orthogon OS-Spectra

Orthogon Systems

Good, 7.1

Bottom Line: The OS-Spectra is Orthogon's high-end RF product and is capable of a range similar to OS-Gemini but with bandwidth options of as much as 300MBps. It supports advanced signal-modulation technology, allowing it to bend the signal around obstacles, so true line-of-sight isn't required, and supports WiMax.
