Parallels Desktop for Mac available now

Startup's solution enables Windows, Mac OS X to run side by side

The final release version of Parallels Desktop for Mac is available now.

The software, which costs $79.99 (with a special limited time deal available now that costs just $49.99), is a solution that gives Mac users the ability to run Windows, Linux, or any other operating system and their critical applications at the same time as Mac OS X on any Intel-powered iMac, Mac Mini, MacBook, or MacBook Pro.

Unlike dual-boot solutions, in which users must completely shut down OS X and endure a full OS start-up cycle to access Windows, Parallels Desktop for Mac lets users run Windows and other applications without leaving OS X.

The software is equipped with installation wizards to help users install the software, and lets users run the following operating systems at the same time as OS X: any version of Windows (3.1, 3.11, 95, 98, Me, 2000, NT, XP, 2003), any Linux distribution, FreeBSD, Solaris, OS/2, eComStation or MS-DOS.

Wide support for peripherals, easy file and folder sharing between systems, and the capacity to optimize virtual machine performance all feature in this release.
