Java/Web-based Opportunity and Threat Discovery
Project Lead: Rael Lipson, Chief Geologist
Project Description: With a strong emphasis on exploration in mining, Gold Fields has expanded Coemergence’s ACIS software to include deposit production statistics, refined coordinates, and key geological information of gold deposits across the globe. This robust, one-stop repository for information now allows both hard and soft data to be plotted in real time, linked via GIS (Geographical Information System) from anywhere in the world. The Web-based ACIS solution is also used as the repository of project reports and cash flow models. However, quality control of the database remains an ongoing challenge, and all team members contribute to eliminating duplicates and correcting information. Having the modified and augmented ACIS software as a springboard, Gold Fields has developed a multipronged strategy which is both opportunistic on a project level and proactive toward long-term exploration.

Project Lead: Jerry Lekhter, Senior Manager, Customer Contact Center Design & Analysis

To improve callback support, Intuit leveraged .Net, Knowledgebase, CTI, and CRM technologies, developing a Web-driven technical support process called e-Submission. The e-Submission process allows Intuit customers to submit their support issue to Intuit via the Web and receive a callback from a qualified support agent, frequently in minutes.

Community of Practice for Logistics Workforce
Project Lead: Patrice Jackson, Chief Knowledge Strategist, Logistics Community Senior Manager, Focused Logistics Enterprise
Project Description: With 986 active members, the company’s Community of Practice technology and the strategy around it have enabled Lockheed Martin to identify knowledge and connect talent horizontally across organizational time and physical boundaries. Lockheed Martin's motto of "turning data into knowledge and knowledge into action" is evident in the horizontal integration effort of Lognet.
