RFID Tracking for Pharmaceuticals

Project Description: Implemented RFID to track the shipments of certain high-value Pfizer and GSK drugs flowing through its facilities. McKesson leveraged Blue Vector's network appliances to connect to RFID readers and other sensors. The system made it easy to quickly build a large widely distributed system that can be centrally managed and integrated with other systems.

Virtual Infrastructure for Datacenter Management
Project Lead: Bruce McMillan, Manager, Emerging Technologies
Project Description: Adopted VMware ESX Server in Solvay Pharmaceuticals' globally dispersed datacenters. McMillan saw results right away and soon added more units, now totaling 11 VMware ESX servers with VMware's centralized management solution, VirtualCenter. With VMware VirtualCenter, McMillan can monitor performance and availability of all of his virtual machines, increasing his team's efficiency.
