Dell adds new printers, monitors
Company adds three printers to lineup
Follow @infoworldDell Computer introduced three new printers Monday, adding a workgroup printer and two personal printers to its recently launched printer lineup.
The Dell Workgroup Laser Printer M5200n, the Dell Personal Inkjet Printer J740, and the Dell Personal All-In-One Printer A920 are all available in North America as of Monday, and will be available in other parts of the world later this year, Dell said in a release.
Business customers will be able to print up to 35 pages per minute on the $999 M5200n printer, Dell said. It comes with a Web-based monitoring tool for administrators to keep track of toner and paper levels in the networked printer.
The personal printers also come with software that keeps users up to date on their printer's ink level with each print job. The J740 costs $99, and can print up to 18 pages per minute of standard text. The A920 comes with a printer, scanner, and copier for $89.
Customers in the U.S. who purchase a new Dell printer can have their old printers picked up by Dell for recycling, the company said.
Dell entered the printer market in March with the release of four models. The Round Rock, Texas, company is partnering with Lexmark International, which manufactures the printers for Dell under an agreement reached last September.
Dell also introduced two new flat-panel monitors Monday. The 17-inch UltraSharp 1703FP is available worldwide for $499, and the 19-inch 1901FP will be available in July for $740.
