Yahoo has broadened the index of its video search engine, adding more international content and for the first time providing support for Macromedia's Flash animation.
Yahoo, in Sunnyvale, California, announced the enhancements on Thursday on the official blog of the company's search unit (http://ysearchblog.com/).
Yahoo has also added an option on its advanced search page for users to only receive Flash pages when they query the video search engine.
Google already indexes Flash pages. Users can query Google only for Flash pages by entering "filetype:swf" in the search box along with the query terms.
