Cisco revenue, profit rose in Q4
The networking vendor's revenue rose 18 percent and EPS grew 24 percent over the same quarter last year
Follow @infoworldCisco Systems posted strong gains in both revenue and profit in its fiscal fourth quarter, which ended July 28.
The dominant networking vendor's revenue rose 18 percent from a year earlier to $9.4 billion while its earnings per share grew 24 percent to $0.31. Net income was $1.9 billion.
Not counting certain special items, Cisco earned $0.36 per share, one cent above the consensus forecast from analysts surveyed by Thomson Financial.
