IDG's InfoWorld Names the 100 Most Innovative Corporate IT Solutions for 2007
November 12, 2007-- San Francisco, CA – IDG's InfoWorld today announced the winners of its InfoWorld 100 Awards. The annual awards honor IT projects that demonstrate the most creative use of cutting-edge technologies to further their business goals. Nominations were submitted by InfoWorld readers, technology partners, and end-user companies in late-summer. To be considered, projects must stretch beyond the typical, off-the-shelf solution, and must use multiple technologies in innovative ways to serve well-defined business goals. Winners are formally announced on November 12th at InfoWorld.com.

InfoWorld Announces New Editor in Chief Eric Knorr
SAN FRANCISCO – November 6, 2007– IDG's InfoWorld today announced that Eric Knorr has been named editor in chief of InfoWorld. Don Tennant, former editor and chief of InfoWorld's sister publication Computerworld, will be taking on a more expanded role at IDG as vice president and editorial director for both InfoWorld and Computerworld.
Knorr brings 20 years of technology journalism experience to his new role at InfoWorld. Previously, he was editor at large of InfoWorld for four years, where he was responsible for the planning, development, and execution of feature articles that serve the needs of enterprise IT managers. Knorr is the former editor of PC World magazine, the creator of the best-selling The PC Bible, and a founding editor of CNET. A winner of the Neal and Computer Press Awards for journalistic excellence, he has written hundreds of articles on desktop and enterprise technology.
