Liferay Portal tops a strong field of open source competitors in usability, functionality, and integration, rivaling many commercial portals in capabilities. There's integration with Microsoft Exchange, support for PHP and Ruby, an iCal calendar, full WebDAV, and a library of more than 60 portlets. Enterprises can have single sign-on through Active Directory, OpenID, or LDAP.
