Service Oriented Computing: Virtualization, Grid, and the Automation of IT
IT is in many ways a victim of its own success. Increasing demand on IT services often reveals current underlying technologies to be inflexible, expensive, and unreliable, a straightjacket on IT's ability to provide continued innovation and bottom-line benefit.
