If HP's board fires Léo Apotheker as rumored, one of the following candidates may turn out to be the new CEO
The world-famous actor, former bodybuilder, and Governator showed a serious side in running both his career and the State of California.
Pros: He's well liked and would set a very different tone at HP than the last three CEOs -- a practical but personable vibe, more like the old HP. He believes in technology and could combine that with his star power to resuscitate HP's beaten-up staff. He's pragmatic, or at least, he became that way after a series of ultimatums as governor went nowhere.
Cons: He's an actor (though that hasn't stopped Jesse Ventura or Ronald Reagan, either) who learned the hard way that ultimatums don't work, so his management acumen is questionable. He knows nothing really about technology, the technology industry, or the Silicon Valley.
