Panther, Jaguar security updates posted

Apple recommends Mac users install four new updates

Apple Computer Inc. has issued four Security Updates.

The security updates deliver a number of security enhancements for Panther client, Jaguar client, Panther server, and Jaguar server. Apple recommends all Macintosh users install them.

The Panther updates includes the following components: DiskArbitration, IPSec, Point-to-Point-Protocol, and tcpdump. The server update includes QuickTime Streaming Server.

The Jaguar updates also include DiskArbitration, IPSec, Point-to-Point protocol, and adds Safari. Jaguar server now includes QuickTime Streaming Server.

Further components have also been incorporated into the Jaguar updates, including: OpenSSL, Personal File Sharing, and QuickTime for Java.
