Bossie 2010 winner: jQTouch
jQTouch is a jQuery plug-in for mobile Web development on the iPhone, iPod Touch, and other "forward-thinking devices." It supports Android, for example, but at the moment the support for animations on Android is "fairly borked" -- the animations don't really display as they should. Used judiciously, jQTouch can provide an appealing browser-based touch interface with a native look and feel for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and Android. jQTouch is a very promising user interface library for people creating Web-based applications for these devices. The current maintainer of jQTouch is the author of several books on the package; the original author now works for Sencha.
