Group releases iPhone security benchmark
New benchmark from the Center for Internet Security could help IT managers better protect data stored on iPhones
Follow @infoworldThe Center for Internet Security last week released a security benchmark for Apple's iPhone that it said could help IT managers better protect data stored on the device.
The benchmark, dubbed CIS Security Configuration Benchmark for Apple iPhone, includes 20 recommendations for system settings, Safari settings, and iPhone Configuration Utility settings, said a CIS spokeswoman. The benchmark also includes instructions on securely erasing data and creating strong passwords.
