Generation 7 RIM smartphones promise significantly better hardware, so we compare them to the kings of the mobile hill
The Bold has the always-available keyboard that shortens the touchscreen. Like the original Torch, the Torch 8810 has a slideout keyboard you can use in addition to the onscreen keyboard -- but the Torch 8850/60 does not have a slideout keyboard. (The iPhone and Galaxy also have only onscreen keyboards.) The fact that now one Torch model has a slideout keyboard and the other does not is confusing; it helps to think of the 8810 as the Torch Slide and the 8850/60 as the Torch Touch.
