InfoWorld.com has released its "Data Explosion iGuide," a graphical repository of downloadable PDFs and Webcasts on enterprise data explosion, which InfoWorld -- a Web-based publication devoted to emerging technology and hands-on business tech expertise -- sees as the most important issue affecting IT today. No doubt you've heard the IDC pronouncement that enterprise data doubles every 18 months. We believe the challenges of storing and managing this roaring torrent of bits have entered a critical phase and deserve special coverage. The interacttve "Data Explosion iGuide" and its companion special reports, Webcasts, and other presentations provides that depth.
The "Data Explosion iGuide" highlights include W. Curtis Preston's PDF report "Modernize your backup infrastructure" and Keith Schultz's Webcast "Network deduplication: The art of creative subtraction." InfoWorld contributing editor Matt Prigge will soon add his guide to building a primary storage strategy, and Security Adviser blogger Roger A. Grimes' PDF report on plumbing the depth of log files for security and optimization purposes will be included by January 1.
