A Gripe Line reader forwarded the following memo about MPC to me last night. There is no announcement on this at MPC's Web site (yet), and my e-mails to my contact at MPC on this -- or any -- message have, so far, gone unanswered. Nor can I find any news announcements about this. So I have no additional confirmation. This memo -- from a sales rep to his customers -- is full of potentially very useful information for all of you affected by this MPC situation. So here is the memo as I received it, with some more personal regrets from the author to his customers removed:
"Today, all MPC employees were informed that the Chapter 11 proceedings and reorganization process have failed. MPC has now filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy and liquidation.

"They gave us very little information. Here is what we know:
I will, of course, post anything new I hear. If you have any information, please send it so I can share with other readers.
