We are looking at outsourcing some of our server hosting and potentially looking at dedicated server solutions. We have spoken to a few companies, one such company is HostMDS.com We have been impressed with the pricing and the references they have provided us. Has anyone had any experiences with this Toronto host ?
I probably saw your post far too late to help you but I recommend staying away from HostMDS. I've been with them since they took over VistaPages, and the service and performance has been below average at best.
As I write this my hosted sites with HostMDS have been down for almost 3 days. Initial responses from tech support were the usual 'we apologise for any inconvenience...' but as the downtime continued they have stopped responding all together. At this point I still have no idea if and when my sites will be coming back up or what the problem is.
While searching the web for ways to get them to communicate, I came across literally hundreds of negative reviews about them I wish I had read when they took over Vistapages. I'm currently in the process of transferring my domains elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and don't do any kind of business with HostMDS.
