InfoWorld's annual Technology of the Year awards recognize the best and most innovative products in the most important hardware and software categories to businesses and IT professionals. The Technology of the Year awards are not open to outside nominations; only products tested and reviewed by the InfoWorld Test Center during the previous year are eligible. Selections are made by InfoWorld Test Center reviewers and editors.
Every year, InfoWorld honors IT professionals who have demonstrated leadership within their companies and in the IT community in the creation, repurposing, deployment, and/or management of technology to for business benefit. All nominations are reviewed by InfoWorld editors.

InfoWorld's Bossies (Best of Open Source Software awards) recognize the best open source software for business. The InfoWorld Test Center's central mission has always been to identify the most promising and cost-effective products available to IT organizations. Increasingly, those products -- from application development tools to platforms and infrastructure software to CRM and ERP applications -- come from the open source camp. Our selection committee looks for innovation, functionality, ease of use and implementation, and a proven track record in serving the needs of businesses.
Companies around the world have embraced green technology to drive projects and develop products aimed boosting energy efficiency, trimming waste, and reducing or eliminating the use or the production of harmful substances. The InfoWorld Green 15 awards recognize the 15 most innovative IT initiatives that fall under this umbrella of sustainability. All nominations will be reviewed by InfoWorld editors.
