The Popcorn Time blog has a changelog for Beta 0.3.5 of Popcorn Time in the official announcement, and notes that this update had some problems:

This was a turbulent and unpredictable update for us to say the least... So we had to fix some serious bugs, and fix them as swiftly as possible. As we were rushing this release a bit, some things ended up broken on our initial release and we're sorry about that. We're also sorry about the users who were forced to redownload Popcorn Time to make it work, or wipe out their favorites databases, we know you loved those shows. This time around we've done our best to make sure we don't have to do this again, but we want to remind that Popcorn Time is still in beta.

0.3.5 Beta changelog:

Fixed invalid Certificate Fingerprints in the app not verifying causing requests to fail

Caught when the "Theme" var in Database didn't exist upon upgrading

Fixed movies not loading because Trakt started replying with 404s

Fixing bookmarks that don't work on the list page for TV Shows and Anime

Remove "Blown up" look for Retina but leave it in place for QFHD due to it's size

Fixed the updater for Popcorn Time in linux
