How to sign up for Apple's OS X Yosemite public beta program

Join the OS X Yosemite beta program and get it first for your Mac

Apple is offering a public beta of OS X Yosemite for Macs. Here's how you can sign up for it. Please note that the first one million who sign up will get access to the beta. So you may be out of luck if you sign up after that.

1. Go to the OS X Yosemite public beta page.

2. Click the blue "Sign Up" button.

You'll need to use your Apple ID to sign up, and you'll be notified when the public beta of OS X Yosemite is available for download. You can also read the OS X Beta Program FAQ for answers to common questions.

According to Apple:

OS X Yosemite will be available this fall. The OS X Beta Program lets you take part in shaping it by test-driving pre-release versions and letting us know what you think. Your comments will help us make OS X better for all Mac users. Sign up today, and the beta software will be available for you to install soon.
