Remove old kernel and packages from Ubuntu

Here's how you can remove an old kernel and unused packages in Ubuntu, by using Ubuntu Tweak.

1. Open a terminal window.

2. Type in the following commands then hit Enter after each.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:tualatrix/ppa

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install ubuntu-tweak

3. Open Ubuntu Tweak.

4. Go to the Janitor tool.

5. Click the checkbox to remove old kernels, packages, etc.

6. Click the Clean button.
