Suspend tabs in Google Chrome

Reduce Chrome's memory footprint by suspending tabs

Here's a helpful, free extension that lets you reduce Chrome's memory footprint by suspending tabs. This will help speed up your computer's performance for other things.

1. Go to the Great Suspender page in the Google Play store.

2. Click the Add to Chrome button.

The Great Suspender lets you suspect tabs in Google Chrome. You can even have tabs auto-suspend themselves, or you can do it manually if you prefer. All of your suspended tabs will be available if you reopen your browser later.
