Add the GNOME 3 desktop environment to Arch Linux

Here's how you can install the GNOME 3 desktop environment in Arch Linux.

1. Open a terminal window.

2. Type in the following commands then hit Enter after each.

sudo pacman -S gnome gnome-extra gnome-tweak-tool

3. You have the option of using the GDM or LXDM display manager.

To install LXDM use these commands:

sudo pacman -S lxdm

sudo systemctl enable lxdm

To install GDM use these commands:

sudo pacman -S gdm

sudo systemctl enable gdm
