Stop iOS 7 from using cellular data for automatic app updates

Block the App Store from using cellular data for iOS 7 app updates

Here's how you can block the App Store from using cellular data for iOS 7's automatic app updates. This will force iOS 7 to use Wi-Fi only for automatic app updates.

1. Go to Settings.

2. Go to Cellular.

3. Scroll down to the Use Cellular Data For: section.

4. Find the App Store icon, and toggle the switch to the Off position.

You can also do this by turning off cellular data in the iTunes & App Store controls:

1. Go to Settings.

2. Go to iTunes & App Store.

3. Toggle the Use Cellular Data to the off position.

4. This will prevent all Automatic Downloads, iTunes Match and iTunes Radio from using cellular data.

Automatic app updates are great, but if you don't turn off the cellular data option for the App Store then you could burn through a lot of cellular data bandwidth fast.
