Restore Android phone to factory default settings

How to wipe your data and restore your Android phone to the factory default

Here's how you can restore your Android phone to its factory default settings. This will wipe all of the data from your phone. So be sure to have your data backed up before you do this.

1. Go to Settings.

2. Go to Backup and Reset.

3. Tap on Factory Data Reset.

This can be very useful if you find your Android phone is having problems or if it freezes and you can't get it to do anything. As I noted earlier, be sure you have all of your data backed up before resetting to the factory default.
