Install Gis-Weather widget in Linux Mint 16

Add a customizable weather widget to your Linux Mint 16 computer

Here's how you can install the Gis-Weather widget in Linux Mint 16. Gis-Weather widget is customizable and offers a detailed weather forecast for your local area.

1. Open a terminal window.

2. Type in the following commands then hit Enter after each.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:noobslab/apps

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install gis-weather

According to Noobs Lab:

You can add as much location as you want and choose location by right-click + choose to display weather information on the widget. It allows you to change its appearance (background, icons, text), display on all desktops, lock position to the desktop and more customization can be done from its preferences.
