Here's how you can adjust the iOS 7 passcode requirement time. This can be useful if your current passcode requirement time setting is too short or too long.

1. Go to Settings.

2. Go to General.

3. Tap on Passcode Lock.

4. Type in your passcode.

5. Tap on Require Passcode.

6. You can select from the following options:

After 1 minute

After 5 minutes

After 15 minutes

After 1 hour

After 4 hours

This basically means how long a device is inactive or how long the screen has been locked before requiring a passcode to be re-entered for access to be granted again. Shorter times are safer.
