Use the Dash in Ubuntu 14.04 to restart, suspend, shut down or put your system into hibernation

Here's how you can install power commands that let you use the Dash to shut down, hibernate, suspend or restart your Ubuntu 14.04 system.

1. Open a terminal window.

2. Type in the following commands then hit Enter after each.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:atareao/atareao

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install power-commands

This stuff is developed by atareao and you can use their PPA to install it.
