Install Blender 2.70 3D app in Ubuntu 13.10

Add the free 3D application Blender 2.70 to your Ubuntu 13.10 system

Blender 2.70 is a free and open source 3D application. Here's how you can install it in Ubuntu 13.10.

1. Open a terminal window.

2. Type in the following commands then hit Enter after each.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:irie/blender

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install blender

Blender provides a broad spectrum of modeling, texturing, lighting, animation and video post-processing functionality in one package. Through its open architecture, Blender provides cross-platform interoperability, extensibility, an incredibly small footprint, and a tightly integrated workflow.
