DataFlux marries data quality with integration, Avatier uses Web services for ID management, Tacit boosts collaboration, and Packeteer touts enterprise-level VPN accelerator
DataFlux Flexes Integration
blending data quality and integration technologies, SAS Institute subsidiary DataFlux last week made its Data Quality Integration Solution 7 available. The platform was built to discover, integrate, and manage business information residing in multiple data sources. The package includes DataFlux’s dfPower Studio, which is used to design workflows and establish data requirements, and was enhanced to grant data stewards more control over the data quality process. When used in conjunction with the DataFlux Integration Server, dfPower enables customers to use batch processing to standardize and verify data and ultimately implement business logic through on-demand and SOA models.
Data Quality Integration Solution 7, DataFlux AvatierLaunches Identity Management Suite
Avatier last month rolled out AIMS (Avatier Identity Management Server), a Web services-based platform for employee provisioning and password management. AIMS provides pre-integrated modules including Password Station, which lets employees securely reset forgotten passwords and synchronize one password across multiple platforms; Account Terminator, for scheduling account deletions and automated archiving of mailboxes and private files upon employee termination; and Account Creator, for user provisioning and automating access to resources.
Avatier Identity Management Server, Avatier Tacit Unearths ActiveNet 3
Tacit Software late last month launched ActiveNet 3, collaboration software designed to create dynamic networks between employees who share expertise or related interests. ActiveNet 3 lets users opt in as a connection request is being made, rather than preapproving participation. Also new is enhanced integration with business processes such as procurement, research and development, and business development. A consolidated view of activity across the company simplifies the process of connecting with subject matter experts.
