CSC announces $1.2B in US government contracts

Company inks 62 deals, incluing 28 with civil agencies

Computer Sciences Corp. (CSC) announced Monday that it had signed US$1.28 billion in previously undisclosed U.S. government agency contracts during the first quarter of 2007.

CSC said that it signed a total of 62 contracts, including 28 with civil agencies valued at $811 million, and 34 with military agencies and departments valued at about $474 million.

CSC said that the services being provided would include outsourcing, consulting, and systems integration, but was not specific as to each agency and contract. For its military contracts, CSC said that contracts were signed with the Departments of the Army, Navy, Air Force, and others.

The contracts were signed between January 1 and March 30, the company said.
