Bigger, heavier laptops with large screens (16 inches and above) can incorporate powerful hardware you won't find in smaller, lighter models. Most of these laptops are as powerful as a desktop PC
Unless your needs are certifiably outrageous, you won't find much in the way of compromises in these big and strong mobile PCs ("laptop" just isn't the right word). Almost to a machine (note keyword "almost"), you'll find gaming-level performance, brilliant displays, and more ports than you know what to do with. Naturally, the flip side is significant heft, and desktop-class battery life. You might be hard-pressed to carry these units any farther than the local Starbucks, where plugging them in could dim the lights.
