Video: How to create a desktop image in Windows 8

Custom refresh capability lets you reinstall Windows and keep not only your files and user data, but all software you've installed as well

One of the cool new capabilities in the forthcoming Windows 8 is the Windows Refresh capability. Most people quickly learn that it's an easy way to reset Windows but keep your information and files intact -- unlike a traditional Windows reset that wipes out the disk and reinstalls a virgin copy of Windows. But Windows Refresh can also keep your applications intact, making it a convenient way to create a restore image for your full Windows 8 environment. This video, produced by my colleagues at ClipTraining, shows you how to create such a custom refresh image.
