Talking trumps typing as the preferred method of using a smartphone -- so which mobile OS is better at voice commands?

Voice recognition is quickly moving from fancy feature to must-have technology in smartphones, and both Apple's iOS and Google's Android are happy to provide it. But which one has the better offering? In the video below, David Pogue of the New York Times pits them against each other in a head-to-head competition.

Pogue's testing covers three areas: dictation, phone command, and Internet searches. He grades the competitors based on accuracy, speed, ease-of-use, and usefulness. The good news for both Apple and Google is that they both perform quite well. As to which one actually wins ... well, in the three testing areas, each racked up a win, a loss, and a tie. The final decision comes down to your judgment call.
