iPhones and other smartphones have led to a wave of violent crimes commissioned by those seeking to steal cellphones

Cellphone theft is on the rise nationally, especially of smartphones. The San Francisco District Attorney's office has made its cellphone theft data available, so the IDG News Service has put together an interactive map of where cellphone thefts have occurred from November 2012 through April 2013. You can get the details on each crime, and zoom and scroll through this interactive map.
