Sun Solaris 10 to integrate ZFS and PostgreSQL
Sun announced a June release of the solaris 10 operating system that will incorporate ZFS 1.0, Sun’s new 128-bit file system, and the open source PostgreSQL database. ZFS automatically detects and corrects data corruption and eliminates the need for a volume manager. PostgreSQL will help leverage Solaris’ predictive self-healing, OS containers, and DTrace (dynamic tracing) technologies.
