Apache offers XMLBeans 2.0
The Apache Software Foundation, a community of developers and users that provides support for Apache open source projects, has rolled out XMLBeans 2.0. XMLBeans uses XML Schema to generate Java interfaces and classes that can then be used to access and modify XML instance data. Version 2.0 of the tool offers improved XQuery/XPath integration; DOM Level II support, which improves performance and reduces the memory footprint; extensions for adding custom functionality to generated XMLBeans; and improved error handling.
