Xirrus has launched the next-generation Wireless LAN Array for enterprise Wi-Fi networks. The WLAN Array integrates the functionality
of a WLAN switch and up to 16 integrated access points into a single device that delivers Gigabit-class RF bandwidth. The
WLAN architecture's array controller features a 2Gbps switching fabric that controls the packet flows of the integrated access
points and provides complete spectrum management. The WLAN's directionalized antenna system offers increased rate and range
in all directions. The architecture also features tri-mode 802.11 a/b/g support for existing and emerging mobile devices.

Xamlon (Profile, Products, Articles)opens Flash to .Net developers March 31, 7:35 a.m. PST
Xamlon will unveil the preview of Xamlon Pro, Flash Edition on April 6 at Flashforward in San Francisco. The product opens
the door to an enormous community of previously excluded developers by letting developers use C# or Visual Basic.Net with
XAML, Microsoft’s (Profile, Products, Articles) new XML-based markup language, to write Flash apps and directly deploy them to almost any device or computer. The preview
of Xamlon Pro, Flash Edition will be available for
download on April 6. The final version will be priced at $499 per developer and will be available on May 3.
OuterBayannounces enhanced ADM Suite 4.0 for ILM

OuterBay has announced enhancements to its Application Data Management (ADM) Suite. Version 4.0 simplifies information lifecycle
management (ILM) for applications and databases and adds features that enable significantly simpler and faster implementation
and ongoing management. ADM 4.0 also provides new automated data movement features for "Lights Out" operation, while maintaining
high availability and enterprise application performance.
Systems integrator takes over Japan's VA Linux March 31, 7:35 a.m. PST
Sumisho Computer Systems (SCS), a Japanese system integrator, has acquired Sumitomo's stake in VA Linux Systems Japan to become
its largest shareholder. The price of the deal was not disclosed, but a report in the Nihon Keizai Shimbun newspaper put it
at between ¥700 million and ¥900 million ($6.5 million and $8.4 million). SCS is a subsidiary of Sumitomo and so VA Linux
remains within the Sumitomo Group. VA Linux said the switch should mean its open-source systems are more widely adopted within
Sumitomo, which is one of Japan's largest general trading companies, and the wider group. It will also help SCS boost its
open source business. VA Linux was founded in September 2000 by Sumitomo and other companies. Sumitomo became a majority shareholder
in the company in January 2002. Other shareholders include VA Software (Profile, Products, Articles), NEC (Profile, Products, Articles), and two companies that are part of Japan's NTT telecommunications group: NTT Comware and NTT Data.
BEA, ProActivity team on business process tools March 30, 7:55 a.m. PST BEA Systems (Profile, Products, Articles) has announced a reseller relationship with ProActivity that enables BEA to integrate two ProActivity tools with WebLogic.
The new products are called ProActivity Process Analysis BEA WebLogic Edition and ProActivity Process Business Activity Monitoring
BEA WebLogic Edition. The tools are designed to speed the modeling and implementation of business processes as well as provide
business-level monitoring and alerting capabilities.
SCSI Toolbox extends SCSItoolbox Suite March 30, 7:55 a.m. PST
SCSI Toolbox has added the Bus Analyzer Module (BAM) to its SCSItoolbox Suite of peripheral testing and diagnostic tools.
The BAM allows the capture of bus traffic data on any peripheral bus, including SCSI, Fibre Channel, ATA, SATA, ATAPI, and
SAS. Captured data is displayed in real time. BAM is included in the price of the SCSItoolbox Suite, which starts at $4,495.
