My test hardware was a Hewlett-Packard OmniBook XE3 laptop with a PIII 700MHz processor, 256MB RAM, and 18GB hard drive, using Windows 2000 Professional as the operating system.

I used a single test data set, an import-export company’s Microsoft Access tracking database with 11 tables, the largest being 59,000 records and 23 fields, one with 60,000 records and 11 fields, and one with 33,000 records and 19 fields.

I used Wordpad, Excel 97, and Monarch 4.0 as data-cleansing and -preparation tools to deliver CSV (comma-separated variable) and other format files to KXEN Analytic Framework.
