I installed the Thunderstone Search Appliance in our San Francisco lab and aimed it at InfoWorld’s main Web site, infoworld.com. I launched the appliance with its default settings and then modified the settings using the appliance’s installed management
utility. Once the appliance had indexed the site’s pages, I tried progressively more detailed searches using all available
capabilities of the standard and advanced search functions. I then let the appliance run for 10 days to update its indexing
while continuing to run searches.
