How it works:
Receive alerts as an SMS message, via our partner VoiceIndigo. Each alert includes the headline, with an embedded link to read or listen to the entire story. Alerts are only sent when impactful, breaking news occurs (typically twice per week per category). Most phones sold within the past two years support this feature.
On your phone:
Various carriers and phones handle SMS and WAP differently. Your phone and carrier need to support links within SMS, in order to click over to the WAP article. Supported phones include models from LG, Motorola RAZR, Motorola V-Series, Samsung, SonyEricsson, and Palm Treo 600, 650, 700W. Not all carriers support all features (Example: WAP links in SMS on non-smartphones on the Verizon network). An unlimited SMS and data plan is strongly recommended.
Account management:
You may unsubscribe and manage your alerts, at any time, by visiting
and clicking on the unsubscribe link. In-phone account management is not available, but will be added shortly.
