IDG's INFOWORLD.COM EXPANDS ONLINE WHITE PAPER INITIATIVE

Reader and Advertiser Demand Drives Program Enhancements

San Francisco, California, December 8, 2003 - Today, InfoWorld.com announced the expansion of the site's white paper library (http://www.infoworld.com/683),that gives vendors an opportunity to post relevant technical and business information about their products, technologies, and services. Enhancements include categorization by topic, integration with IDG's white paper library, improved ease of use, and increased accessibility on InfoWorld.com.

InfoWorld's sharp focus on the evaluation and selection of information technologies has driven high levels of reader interaction, as well as advertiser demand to connect with this influential audience. The new white paper library marks InfoWorld.comÕs first significant enhancement since winning two Ozzie awards from Folio: Magazine in November for best site design.

"A recent survey of InfoWorld's subscriber base indicated that 9 out of 10 readers rate white papers or other detailed information as very important or important to their decision-making," stated Matt McAlister, vice president and general manager of the site. "InfoWorld.com's white paper program is one component of a strategic initiative to provide the types of purchase information buyers need to make informed decisions. Look for more innovations from InfoWorld.com." (Source: "The Information Technology Needs of the North American Business," October 2003.)

Sponsored white paper programs include 60 characters of text and a URL linking directly to the white paper and exposure on a targeted landing page. Participating companies receive a minimum of 500,000 impressions per month, as well as one monthÕs placement in IDG's White Paper library, accessible on participating IDG enterprise-focused Web sites.
