InfoWorld is seeking a Web Designer to play a key role requiring a blend of highly developed technical and project management skills. Responsibilities include: design and deliver the front-end UI for new product offerings; day-to-day maintenance of existing product offerings; help develop site strategy as it relates to design, front-end architecture, and user experience; inform design projects with a solid understanding of information architecture concepts and deep content maps; work closely with Tech Team and Lead Engineers to ensure that products are delivered on time; assist in defining strategy for audience development and brand; and help shape revenue model for online products. Required skills include a deep knowledge of HTML/CSS/Javascript, the ability to cleanly implement a UI across different browsers, extensive experience with Photoshop, Illustrator or code-based text editor, and strong Macromedia Flash skills. Candidates must also have some ActionScripting experience, preferably as it relates to enterprise-level video deployment, and experience with using Web analytics to inform audience development strategies and usability needs. Previous experience in an online business is essential, as is the desire to work and lead in a dynamic and team-oriented environment. Please have a BFA or MFA in digital media/graphic design or equivalent experience. |

| Description: | InfoWorld Media Group seeks a qualified editor to join its online staff. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a deadline-oriented team environment. As part of the online editorial team, your job responsibilities will comprise editing news from our wire service and in-house reporting staff, a process that includes content editing, copy editing, finding and linking related content, and publishing in our browser-based CMS and Microsoft Word. You will collaborate with the Online Editor to write compelling, search-engine optimized headlines and will be expected to exercise solid editorial judgment in selecting stories for the home page and news page. This position will also be responsible for maintaining news special reports, industry "vertical" topic centers, and an online images database. Our ideal candidate will have strong content- and copy-editing skills, an insider's understanding of the IT industry, sound news judgment, and at least two years of experience in print and/or online tech publishing.
